O'Brien Bookseller Award
| The O'Brien Bookseller of the Year Award is presented annually in recognition of outstanding achievement or an
invaluable contribution to the book trade by an individual bookseller.

THE AWARD
The Elements, a bronze perpetual trophy sculpted by Rowan Gillespie, one of Ireland's leading sculptors.
The winner also receives a framed commemorative certificate and a fabulous weekend away for two people.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Any Bookseller who:
- operates on the island of Ireland
- works in, manages or owns a bookselling business
- has a minimum of three years' experience as a bookseller in Ireland (not necessarily with the same company)
NOMINATIONS AND JUDGING
ANY BOOKSELLER, publisher, sales representative or individual working in the book trade in Ireland may nominate a bookseller by using the nomination form.
Nominations for the 2012 award are now open.
The winner in 2012 will be determined by the following jury:

- Ruth Shern, Hachette Ireland
- Robert Towers, Publishers’ Agent
- Ivan O’Brien, The O’Brien Press
THE PRESENTATION
The award will be presented at the Booksellers' Association Dinner Dance on Saturday 24 March 2012.
